Theodor Bruckner studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule from 1885 to 1891. From 1893 to 1894 he received his formation at the Académie Julian and between 1896 and 1897 he was taught by Benjamin Constant and J. P. Laurens. In these years he painted several street scenes of Paris. In 1902 Bruckner became a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus. He lived in Vienna and painted frescos, stage backdrops, portraits and above all pastel portraits of famous music hall entertainers. The artist was represented several times in exhibitions in Vienna, Munich, Berlin and Paris.
