„Buyo Kanazawa hassho yakei“ (Eight Views of Kanazawa at Night)), from the series: „Setsugekka“ (Snow, Moon and Flowers), nishiki-e, signature on the left sheet: Ichiyusai, on the top right corner of the right sheet: title cartouche, on all three sheets on the bottom right corner: publisher´s seal: Okazawa-yaTaheiji, censor´s seal: kiwame, date seal: snake 7 (7th month of the year Ansei 4=1857), the left sheet is a little cut at the margins, all other sheets are full-sized, colours a little fainted, all sheets bearing album wholes on the right margin, minute signs of wear in some parts. In the sky some browning, the mountains in the background are printed in grey (see sheet in the Museum Art Institute in Chikago. Gordon Friese, whom we thank this expertise, is convinced that theses three sheets are original impressions. Looking at the woodrgain visible in the water, it can be compared to the ones in international renowned collections like in the British Museum (no. 1910,0418,0.196.1-3, MFA, Boston, Acc.No.21.7615-7).
