1959 Wurlitzer 2300 S
After only one year the Console models were discontinued and Wurlitzer again presented a new design, hoping to regain market share. In addition to the 2300 and 2304 models that were offering the previously knows selections of their predecessors a new model with a selection of 100 songs, the 2310, was introduced. The greatest news for 1959 was a new stereo system that was available for all three models. These versions carried a capital S following their model numbers.
Sales went up by a bit compared to the previous year, with a bit more than 5,000 of both versions of the 2300 model sold. Of the 2304 Wurlitzer sold 7,000, only the new 2310 was quite a bit behind with only 2,500 sold.
This example has been converted to 220V in the past and still presents itself in very good, cosmetically largely unrestored condition. We have been told that it hasn’t seen any use in quite a while and will probably require some work. Like with all other jukeboxes, we have not tried if it works and therefore it will be strictly sold as is, without any guarantee for functionality.
