The description reads: "Man beachte die köstliche Charakteristik, die in der Umrißlinie der Gesichter und durch die Bildung und Haltung der Beine herausgearbeitet ist, ferner den Zusammenschluß der vier Figuren zu einem Ganzen durch die Zickzacklinie, welche durch die Komposition hindurchführt..." ) One is supposed to observe the exquisite characteristics with which the contour lines of the faces and the formation and postures of the legs are worked out and how the assemblage of the figures into a whole is achieved by a zigzag line which captures the whole composition…) According to Heyne, the knight in the sheet’s outside left is supposed to be a caricature of the artist himself.
