An armchair mod. B 35, designed by Marcel Breuer
in 1928/1929, manufactured by Thonet Frankenberg, Germany, 1930s, sculptural chromium plated tubular steel construction, the seat and back surfaces with cord wickerwork, black lacquered armrests made of beechwood, height c. 80 cm, width c. 57 cm, depth c. 90 cm, height of seat c. 36 cm. Signs of age and use, scratches and abrasions, some losses (to the lacquer), some residues, partly traces of oxidation, wickerwork replaced a long time ago. (MHA)
This model was displayed at the Werkbund exhibition in Paris in 1930.
