The place could be the estate of Johann Fichtinger (1878-1971) from Armschlag who was a master sawyer as like his father Anton Fichtinger. Johann Feichtinger was the last one of his profession in this village. In 1956 the sawmill was shut down (Das Waldviertel, Schriftenreihe des Waldviertler Heimatbundes, Folge 4/5/6, 1986, p. 98).
