Dans le miroir, 2000, brooch in 18 carat white gold with diamonds (ct. 0,19 B.) - 30,90 g - 4 x 3,4 cm, no III/IV A. P. from an edition of 8 + 4. A. P.
A certificate of the Folon Foundation will be given to the buyer.
This brooch was designed by Jean-Michel Folon and made by the famous Verona goldsmiths, F.lli Filippini. For several decades, these jewellers have developed a range of artist's jewellery, or "wearable sculptures", in collaboration with internationally renowned artists (Arman, Fausto Melotti, Pol Bury, etc.). In 2000, Folon began working with these artists to create a series of jewellery that reflected his own world.
This brooch depicts the emblematic figure of Folon, sitting in front of a mirror. Folon was fascinated by reflections, and played with them in numerous graphic works and installations. The white gold brooch brings this play on mirrored image multiplication up to date.
