1967 Maserati Mistral 4000 GT i.e.

1967 Maserati Mistral 4000 GT i.e. - Historická motorová vozidla

German delivery to Munich
Owned by the consignor since 1976, 93,530 original km!
Unrestored with original engine

Maserati introduced the Mistral in 1963. It was intended as a successor to the Sebring. Pietro Frua was responsible for the shapely body, whose glass rear door dome took some getting used to, at first. Thanks to being 250 kg lighter, it greatly increased agility and performance compared the adequately motorized Sebring. A total of 828 Mistral coupés were produced. The 4-litre was available as of 1966.

This Maserati was first registered in Munich on April 7, 1967. According to the original documentation, the second owner registered the Mistral in November of 1969. In May 1972, it went to the third owner, again in Munich. This owner refurbished the veteran Italian rocket. The mechanics were overhauled extensively from October 1974 to October 1975. The invoice from Auto-König in Munich, the Maserati importer at the time, proves that the work on the engine cost a lot of money. The brakes and other odds and ends are practically lost on the bill in comparison. The consignor bought the Maserati with its fresh new technology directly from Auto-König in 1976. The car had 68,000 km on the clock. The paint had already been redone by the previous owner. All TÜV and invoices for the work carried out since that time are available. There is also a log book starting in 1981, which states that new tires were added in 1983 at 82,000 km. Today the Mistral still has the same paint with original leather upholstery. The mechanics have been taken care of verifiably, the body shows the traces of the years in some places. This Mistral is an exciting piece, worthy of Italian sports car art, with a unique history. Maintained and matured in Bavaria for 50 years. For 40 of those years, it has been taken care of and driven by the same person. With wisdom and love.
