A coupé restored in Germany

In September 1955, Porsche introduced the “A,” a major step forward as far as technical specifications and appearance was concerned: curved windscreen, refitted with 15“ wheels, a wider tread, and bumpers, the interior with a new dashboard and seats. On a technical level, the car also came with better brakes and steering.

The present 356 A T2 was purchased in the US by a previous owner in 2000 in a very original and rather solid condition, and then re-imported. Several photographs document that the owner restored the coupé for his own use between 2001 to 2006. The bodywork was in surprisingly good condition and needed very few repairs before being painted. The interior was completely refurbished in real leather and hair yarn carpeting; the odometer index is in km/h. The present 356 draws its special appeal not just from its fine condition but also from the correctness of its details. Horns, wheel rims, the seats, or the weather strips painted in the palette of the interior, everything just fits. It was last serviced in 2015. A perfect choice for many an occasion.
