1976 Vespa 125 ET3 "Blu Jeans"
In 1976 after the Vespa 125 Primavera ET3 was followed by the highly popular Vespa 125 Primavera. It barely differs visually from the earlier model, but it does feature a third overflow as well as an electronic ignition. The ET3 stands for "Elettronica 3 Traversi". One visible distinctive feature is its new exhaust, namely the so-called "ET3 banana". These features increase the engine's power to 7 HP, making it the top-performing small framed model with a top speed of 90 kph.
The ET3 was available in a Vespa "Blu Jeans” special finish, painted in, we guess, blue, with a seat cover made of denim fabric. This 1976 item was lovingly restored and in 2015 was individually licensed in Austria. It would be a pity to ride it, but it would also be too cool just to keep it in the corner!
