Provenance: An anonymous collector’s mark JM (Lugt 1493) on the reverse
A very excellent impression of the second state (of IV) with fine tones, before the signature of Annibale Carracci. With the inscription at the lower margin “PERILL. TRI ADMODU D. D. FRAN. CO GUALDO [...] fides quam sit avitus amor” and the address of the publisher “Petrus Stephanonius observatiae ergo”. Delicate narrow margins along platemarks, slightly browned, tiny creases hardly visible at side margins, traces of a crease at left upper margin, apart from these minor defects in very good condition
