A set of 12 Art Nouveau chairs,
designed by Robert Fix (1877 – 1945), executed by Portois & Fix in Vienna for the 1902 decorative art exhibition in Turin, rosewood veneered hardwood frame with bergère-like rests and brass sabots, with later upholstery, signs of age and use. The present set was part of the dining room of Robert Fix, which was exhibited at the First International Exhibition of Modern Decorative Art in Turin in 1902.
