Benno Adam: Benno Adam was the eldest son of Albrecht Adam, the famous battle scene painter. He received his first artistic education and encouragement from his father. He made a name for himself at the Munich Kunstverein with several paintings at the youthful age of twenty. The focus of his oeuvre was animal paintings and hunting scenes. He also created illustrations depicting the work involved in animal husbandry and forestry. Benno Adam’s animal and hunting pictures had a predominantly genre-like character and he demonstrated greate psychological sensitivity in his portrayals of animal behaviour.
