Lombardy 18th century, type ‘à deux corps’, walnut veneered poplar wood frame with ebonised decoration, lavishly marquetried with several additional precious woods such as yew, maplewood and mahogany, with rocaille and in the form of ‘tropaioi’ (martial symbols), chest with 3 drawers and fall-front, elaborately marquetried interior, cabinet with so-called ‘broken pediment’ and volute ends, 2 doors with mirror inlays (blind spots), lined interior with compartments, 232 x 125 x 63 cm, some small wood parts replaced, well-kept condition with cracks in places.
