modified Baroque style c. 1914/16, execution attributed to Portois & Fix in Vienna, softwood frame with moulded and rounded cornice as well as base, elaborately veneered with yew and elm root in the form of cubes and fillets, with geometrical and floral maplewood marquetry, 1 door with depiction of the Habsburg Castle (Switzerland), 1 base drawer, brass base in the plinth area, interior with mahogany veneer, c. 211 x 137 x 67 cm, several losses to the veneer, with cracks in places, signs of age and use.
