An armchair, designed by Josef Hoffmann, - Design

before 1900, manufactured by A. Pospischil, Vienna, green stained pine wood (“Secession green”), the seat upholstered and covered with brown leather, height 74 cm, width 52 cm, depth 49 cm, height of seat 45 cm.

Josef Hoffmann used this model for Max Kurzweil’s studio in the Viennese Secession building as well as for a country villa in Hohenberg/Lower Austria.

This chair was exhibited in: Austria im Rosennetz, Musée des Beaux Arts, Brussels 1998, curated by Harald Szeemann.
