Provenance: Auction "Eine Samlung von Aquarellen von Rudolf von Alt" (a collection of watercolors by…), Klipstein & Kornfeld, Bern, 1956.
The parish church Saint Martin in Mannersdorf am Leithagebirge is situated on a small hill at the southwestern edge of the town. The socalled „Leithakalk“ (limestone) which was broken in Mannersdorf played a significant role for the construction of the Viennese Ringstraße.
