A brilliant contemporary impression of the IInd state (of IV) after the reduction of the plate and before the retouches. Browned, with discreet repairs at margins, otherwise in good condition, rare. With Nowell-Usticke “A scarce, very desirable Portrait”; late prints are not known, because the plate got lost early.
