On the River Vjatka, signed, dated and inscribed Joukovski Wjatka 1928, signed again later Zukowski, on the reverse signed and inscribed, oil on canvas, 64.5 x 91 cm, framed (frame severely damaged), (Rei)
The French transcription of his name was the result of his frequent exhibits in France. He later changed the transcription of his name. Two comparable monumental panoramic views of Vjatka are described in the Zhukovsky monograph by Mikhail I. Gorelov (Moscow 1982, catalogue p. 257, ill. 119 and 120). They are held by the Mikhail Glinka-Museum in Moscow and a private St. Petersburg collection.
