1983 Fiat 124 Spider

1983 Fiat 124 Spider - Autoveicoli d'epoca

German initial registration, and since 1987 in the hands of a second owner!

Almost at the same time as the Alfa Spider in November 1966, the Fiat 124 Spider was also introduced, also with a Pininfarina body and a sports engine, but a lot cheaper than the Alfa. At the end of the 1970s this Fiat was sold almost exclusively in the USA, with only the occasional piece going to Germany. Once Pininfarina became the manufacturer and took over the distribution itself, these convertibles were then distributed on a regular basis.

This convertible was customs cleared as a new car in Munich in February 1983 and registered on May 20. As a special feature the 124 has Fiat speedline rims and a seat bench in the rear. On November 25, 1987, the buyer bought the convertible from a friend, which according to the purchase contract had a mileage indicator reading 50,300 miles. From then on the Fiat was only driven in the summer. In 1989 the paintwork and the soft top were restored after they had sustained severe weather damage. To extend the Spider’s life, a cavity preservation was carried out in 2013, from which it visibly benefited together with its exclusive summertime use. Recently, the Fiat has been driven somewhat less so that only 74.706 miles have been clocked up, which since 1986 has been verified by inspection reports and invoices. All in all, it is an Italian spider with an incredible history, delivered in newly inspected condition and with a new timing belt.
