Fantastically equipped vehicle with only 45,000 km on the clock!

Towards the end of 1981 Porsche presented its new line, namely the 944 series. Externally it is an upgrade of the special 924 Carrera GT model, with its bodywork hiding its answer to years of critique. Although Porsche had developed a new engine, its roots could no longer be traced within the VW Group. With more power from its bigger engine, it was a real sports car, bamboozling the press from the outset and inspiring a flood of new orders.

This coupé was registered with the US specification in Germany on May 21, 1984 as a "tourist vehicle" with the code 900. According to its servicing manual, it had its first oil change on August 22, 1984 in the USA. The 944 was ordered in a configuration you can only dream of: the perfect look was guaranteed by its black-uni paint finish, its fox forged wheels and bucket seats upholstered with black leather. A Targa roof, air conditioning, servo steering as well as electric window regulators ensured for wellbeing, with sports car shock absorbers and stabilisers providing feeling. This 944 makes a well-rounded and great impression. But the best thing about this Porsche is its previous owner. That owner spent more time caring for his coupé than driving it. It had a total mileage not even reaching 1,500 km per year, as documented in the service logbook and numerous invoices. Since the 944 was hardly driven, there was also very little to repair, so that the paint extending to the roof appeared to represent the original factory finish. In 2016, a Porsche fan brought this diamond back to Germany. The long-lost wanderer enjoyed a great service and was maintained even further. The Porsche is being imported into Germany in a state fit for registration, perhaps it will even hit a driver!
