(1746-1828) Follower of, A set of six drawings, 1. "Al cemeterio"(To the cemetery), after the etching with the same title by Goya from the series "Disastres" (1812-1815), plate 56, Harris 176, red chalk on paper, 20.6 x 29 cm, a preliminary drawing for the same etching is preserved in the Museo del Prado (GW 1087), 2. "Que viene el Coco" (Here comes the bogey-man), after the etching with the same title by Goya from the series "Caprichos" (1797-1798), Harris 38, red chalk on paper, 31 x 22.2 cm, a preliminary drawing for the same etching is preserved in the Museo del Prado (GW 456), 3. "El Pelele"(The straw-doll), after the painting with the same title by Goya in the Museo del Prado (1792), red chalk on paper, 23.5 x 33.7 cm, 4. "Todos dos pillos..." (A scene of execution), red chalk on paper, 23.8 x 33.3 cm, 5. A scene in a prison, red chalk on paper, 22 x 16 cm, 6. "Favannero hecha bien vieno..." (A man filling wine from a barrel), pen and black ink, grey wash, on paper, 24 x 18.5 cm, the sheets in partly bad condition, browned, the margins torn, wrinkled, remains of an old mount, (6), (Sch)

Provenance: Due to an attached correspondance the six drawings were acquired in 1910 in Madrid from the family of the painter Vicente Lopez who was befriended with Goya. From there they got via a Cologne based gallery into a private collection.
