sale, Dorotheum, Vienna, 1 October 2003, lot 163 (as Attributed to Cornelis de Heem);
Private collection, Vienna
The composition of the present painting is based on a work by Cornelis de Heem, which had been sold at Christie’s, New York, 26 January 2011 as lot 29. Another version, perhaps the original, had been in an Amsterdam sale on 6 November 1900, lot 123, as by Juriaen van Streek.
