Lotto No. 12 V

1965 Vespa 150 (ohne Limit / without reserve)

1965 Vespa 150 (ohne Limit / without reserve) - Solo Vespa. Quasi.

With the type VBB Piaggio presented its new standard 150 cc Vespa model in 1960. The most important novelty was the arrival of a new 4-speed-gearbox. The Frame and engine largely remained the same as on the preceding model. The engine was 5,5 horses strong, which was enough to almost reach 90 km/h. On the exterior a new front fender and new trim on the sidepanels were noteworthy. Like all other models the VBB was further developed over the years.

Through seven years of production more than 270,000 Vespa 150 VBB were built. Even in the final year, when its successor was already available, sales numbers hardly declined. The great popularity of the model has continued until today and thanks to its reliability the 150 VBB has become one of the most favored entry-level classic Vespas.

This Vespa 150 is originally from Italy and had been fully restored before it came to Austria. The goal was to make it shine again. And how it shines today! The golden paint is matched with fully chromed kickstrips. The final result is a piece of gold that has not seen any wear yet.

Chassis: VBB2T*263102*, Motor: VBB2M*221094*, Österreichische Einzelgenehmigung (Austrian papers)
