This drawing shows another stage of design of the painting „The Madonna in the glory surrounded by eight holy martyrs“ in the Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta di Orte. The arrangement of the group of martyrs at the lower margin of the composition differs considerably from the painting’s version. Apart from the sketch mentioned above for the Assumption of the Madonna in the upper part of the painting one composition study and two detail studies for the head of the Madonna are also known (Tellini Perina 2000, fig. 16.1, 16.316.5)
