A rare original colour combination and engine!

The 356 was last modified in Stuttgart around the middle of 1963, with the C model following the B. Not much changed on the outside, and the most significant new feature was that all models were fitted with disc brakes. And while the 60 hp version was withdrawn, the top model among the non-Carreras was given an additional 5 hp, christened SC and turned into a veritable sports car with everything that a contemporary heart could possibly desire!

The Porsche dealership in Bologna delivered this 356 SC to Giavanni Evangelista Zillo in Este, Padua Province. Ordered in the unusual colour combination of Irish green with red interior, he registered his new Porsche on 27 May 1964, receiving the same license plate that still graces his SC today. After its original owner passed away far too early ten years later, almost to the day, his widow Livia Asti registered the Porsche in her own name and kept things that way until the end of 2016. She cared lovingly for the little sports car from Stuttgart for over 40 years in honour of her husband. She had it repainted and the interior refurbished just a few years ago. The original manual and service booklet are wonderful testimony to her sentimental bond. Today the 356 sports a beautifully charming patina, while the original engine continues to run more than impressively at the back. The sensational colour combination, its gripping history and the most powerful motorisation in an affordable category make this Porsche a very special item indeed!
