1978 Mercedes-Benz 350 SLC (no reserve)
A coupé with particularly opulent features
The SLC was presented as the successor to the S-Class Coupé W111 in October 1971. Based on the SL, the coupé offered clear and tangible benefits compared to the convertible, but was still overshadowed by its predecessor and the SL for some time. Only recently has this vehicle been afforded the status it deserves. This was Mercedes’ first coupé to be built along the lines of the sporting SL. A successor has never been produced.
A classic company car, this vehicle was first registered December 1978 in Munich. Besides automatic transmission and alloy rims, the coupé in Milan brown metallic has a sunroof and electric windows on both sides. The vehicle was then individually registered in September 1990 in Austria. The previous owner extensively refurbished the luxury automobile, applying a fresh coat of paint and adding the leather seat covers. Used sparingly in recent years, the 350 SLC embodies the spirit of the 1970s like no other Mercedes. It completed a technical inspection before being submitted for auction.
