Collection of Albert Pollak (1878–1943), Vienna;
Confiscation of his collection by the Gestapo in 1938;
Seizure and safekeeping of the collection in the depot of the Central Office for the Protection of Monuments in 1939;
Confiscation of the entire property by the Gestapo in 1940;
Free transfer to the Joanneum, Graz in 1942 (inventory number II/1845);
Restitution to the heirs of Albert Pollak on 13 April 1951;
Forced reallocation to the Joanneum Graz;
Restitution to the heirs of Albert Pollak on 12 October 2021.

The Graz Landhaus on Herrengasse was built between 1522 and 1531 as the first Renaissance building in the city according to plans by architect Domenico dell’Allio. It is the former seat of the ‘Landstände’, the representatives of the territorial estates, and one of the most important Renaissance buildings in Central Europe. Its figural gazebo is one of the most important bronze castings of Mannerism.
