An Early Baroque Cabinet on a Console,
late 17th century and later, rosewood veneered hardwood and softwood frame in architectural design, partly ebonised, with lattice marquetry on the sides, on conical square-cut legs, lateral handles, top originally c. 1690/1700, 8 drawers with ebonised frames and tortoiseshell inlays, central door in the form of a portico with full-round Doric columns and niche in arch form, applied with tortoiseshell, partly with fire-gilt bronze fittings and niche figure, behind it 4 large inner drawers with front marquetry in the form of sham drawers, 2 small drawers, underneath a console element from the 19th century with matching design, base with concave veneer and panel marquetry, partly mascaron-like bronze applications, c. 164 x 122 x 38 cm, several small wood parts and applied elements have been supplemented, partly cracked, heavy signs of age and wear in places.
