The Budapet Millenium Exhibition was a national exhibition event and took place in a small municipal forest in 1896. The pavillions of leading indsutrial enterprises such as Mauthner, Dynamit Nobel and Thonet were locted next to Vajdahynard palace in the park. The exhibition grounds which attracted 5,2 Mio. visitors was reached by the Budapest underground which was the first one of its kind in Europe.
