red-brownish marbled, the body with curved rim with 13 curved prongs, wide and narrow gilt edging, inside gold painted sprigs of leaves, beetles, insects and blooming branches, outside gold star lattice band and fine gold rims, neck with small blooming branches, bee and beetle, baluster with wide and narrow gilt edging in relief, large depiction of a Chinese man wearing a pointed hat, he is carrying a sword, a staff with a crescent moon and a full moon in his hands, on the side a Chinese man in kowtow, a willow tree, leaf clusters, a flying bird, a small and a large palm tree as well as a temple-like pedestal with a censer on top, all around én terasse in gold etching, base with golden leaf and blossom branches, snake and butterfly, round foot and smooth stand, height 30 cm, gold rims slightly rubbed, Josef Zich, Schwarzau, Austria, c. 1835 (Ru)

Arnold Busson, Biedermeier-Steingläser, 1817–1842, Technisches Museum Wien, p. 126: Josef Zich, 1789-1834, the two glassworks operated by Josef Wenzel Zich and his son Joseph were leased from Landgrave Joachim Fürstenberg, the one in Joachimsthal from 1789 to 1835, the one in Schwarzau from 1807-1835.
