Design

The upcoming design online auction combines design classics and experimental designs.

The main focus begins with the segment of contemporary design, followed by midcentury and early designs. With regard to the countries of origin, the focus is on Austrian, German, Scandinavian and Italian design across all design decades. In contemporary design, the focus in terms of print runs is primarily on prototypes, unique items or small and very small series. The auction brings together well-known design classics by luminaries such as Jean Prouve, Charles & Ray Eames, Eileen Gray, Florence Knoll, Hans J. Wegner, Niels O. Möller, Aldo Tura, Roland Rainer, Louis Poulsen, J. T. Kalmar, E. Bakalowits & Son and Ingo Maurer, as well as arts and crafts from workshops of Carl Auböck, Piero Fornasetti and Franco Lapini. The balanced selection is completed by carpets by Märta Måås-Fjetterström, Anna-Greta Sjöqvist, Barbro Nilsson and Missoni.

The selection of nearly 200 Lot numbers includes not only design classics but also unusual exhibits in the form language typical of the time they were created.

It shows how multifaceted pieces of furniture are and how they can be combined with one another in various ways.  Let yourself be inspired and bid on your personal design favorites.

The respective exhibits attract with moderate starting prices and invite you to build or complete your own design collection.

The auction itself ends on 15th March, 2023 at 3 p.m. (CET).
