Among the works created around 1917/1918, this painting is one of few examples that were executed using the typical Futuristic technique of mixed media + collage. Its subject is the dynamism of the figures on the street, a very rapid impression of their movement, represented mainly after sunset or during the night in order to obtain the particular effects of light created by street lamps.
