…] as a reaction to Arte Povera, I created painting that reconstructed a vision of the history of our country, a history of art, painting canvases that I later called humanistic. They were a reappropriation of an historic memory of art, I referred to Paolo Uccello, to the Fifteenth century which I adored greatly, I created false perspectives on two dimensional paintings in line with an ambiguous finality that I defines “transgresses representation”. It was a way of making an innovative yet reactionary piece of work.
