(Vienna-Kalksburg 1925-2003 Linz) "Epitaph auf Palmiro Togliatti", 1974, vintage, gelatin silver, the reverse side with title in pencil, 22,5 x 24,8 cm, mounted on card, the reverse side of the card bearing a dedication by Heimrad Bäcker and labelled: Rom 1974 (Referendum), dated 2000, 1 corner creased, (EK)

From 1968, Heimrad Bäcker published the magazine "neue texte" which in 1976 became "edition neue texte" publishing with the publication of a book by Gerhard Rühm, followed by other authors of new poetry (Franz Josef Czernin, Ernst Jandl, Friederike Mayröcker, Reinhard Priessnitz, Ferdinand Schmatz, et al.). Between 1977 and 1981, Bäcker taught 20th century literature at the University of Art and Industrial Design, Linz. The author received numerous awards for his work.
