1991 Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible
Austrian XJS with original 92,500 km!
It was not until 1988, that Jaguar managed to present the XJ-S in a convertible version. For customers, another major step came in May 1991, when, following a thorough modernisation, it became the XJS (now without hyphen). The difference was initially apparent in the car’s back and soon made itself obvious in the improved quality. Aside from the 4.0-litre model, the V12 engine continued to be available; for aficionados the only authentic configuration for this luxury car.
This Jaguar XJS convertible in classic black, matched by black leather and a black top, was first registered to a Salzburg company on 19 July 1991. This makes it a very early example of the redesigned model, most easily recognised by its horizontal taillights. The car spent its entire lifespan there and was regularly serviced by Peter Grossegger or the local Jaguar branch. The care it was given shows and its fine condition underscores its timeless elegance. The leather, wood, top, or even engine compartment nothing seems even slightly worn. The next owner can expect a Jaguar XJS that still lives up to what he used to be at delivery: A twelve-cylinder engine convertible and the epitope of luxury!
