1967 Mercedes-Benz 250 SE Convertible

1967 Mercedes-Benz 250 SE Convertible - CLASSIC CARS and Automobilia

German delivery, since 1972 with its 2nd owner, unrestored!

In August 1965 the 220 SE became the 250 SE. The only difference in appearance was the lettering and the larger tires, the main progress had taken place under the hood. The larger 2.5 litre engine now came with crankshaft bearings for greater durability, as well as more power and torque. Other minor alterations included a significantly larger petrol tank. In December 1967 it was replaced by the 280 SE.

The present Mercedes was first registered 14 April 1967 in Tauberbischofsheim. It featured leather upholstery with a central front-row armrest, headrests, “Becker Grand Prix” radio and steering wheel automatic. On 10 October 1972, the second and last previous owner registered the convertible in his name, as documented by an old German card license. On 5. July 1978 he moved the car to Austria. The convertible was very likely repainted in places but is in a fundamentally unrestored condition with beautiful original leather. The car comes with the original engine, which means matching numbers. Not having been driven recently, servicing would seem necessary. The colour scheme reflects the opulence of elegant 1960s society. An impressive convertible, in great condition!
