Provenance: Collection Dr. Robert Spira (1888-1967), Graz; 5th August 1938 Seizure by the Gestapo; 20th February 1939 Transfer to the Landesmuseum Joanneum for custody (Inv.-Nr. II/26816; II/26817); 16th October 2014 Decision of the Styrian government for restitution. According to the decision of the Styrian government and in accordance with the constitutional law of the local council, the property in question which was looted during the Nazi era has to be consigned to recovery in case descendants with legal inheritance rights cannot be found. Its proceeds have to be granted to victims of the Nazi regime or to organizations dealing with compensation of Nazi injustice.
