a) Thangka eines ranghohen Lamas, auf einem Thronkissen aus blauem Seidenbrokat sitzend, gehüllt in goldbestickte Gewänder, in den Händen vajra und Schädelschale. Am Himmel von links nach rechts ein Mahasiddha, Vjarapani und Guhyasamaja, in den unteren Gefielden Shri Devi, und Kurukulla. Malerei und Montierung stark beschädigt. 87 x 43/133 x 72 cm. 2. Hälfte 18./19. Jh. b) Kleines Thangka der Prajnaparamita, auf der Mondscheibe über einem Lotosthron in hügeliger Landschaft. Am Himmel Buddha Amitabha und die Grüne Tara. Beschädigt. 30 x 26,5/56 x 37 cm. 19./20. Jh. (BA)
Provenienz/Provenance Ass Wiener Privatbesitz. Ersteigert bei Sotheby's London 21.10.1994, Sale no. 4609, Lot 152 (a) und Lot 150 (b) Two Tibetan thangkas, one depicting a high lama seated on a throne cussion and holding a vajra and a scull bowl. Severely damaged, 2nd half 18th/19th century; the other of Prajnaparamita, damaged, 19th/20th century.
