Robert Schaberl arrived at a personal painting style that primarily concentrates on what the artist calls ‘Central Forms’ at an early date. The focus is entirely on circles, with the artist reducing his painting to round forms that could already be observed in his early photographic works. A picture’s effect of colour and space changes through light reflection and the application of several paint layers and depends on the perspective from which the work is viewed.
