A rare “Transennati” vase, designed by Anzolo Fuga
for AVeM, Murano, 1962, colourless glass and orange red “murrine” molten from vertical strands of “a canne” glass, height 29 cm. (DRAX)
Between 1951 and 1972, Anzolo Fuga was the principal of the Abate Zanetti School and simultaneously worked for AVeM and other manufacturers as a freelance artist. The “Transennati” is almost unknown and was presented at the 1962 Biennale di Venezia. Only a small number of vases of this type have survived.
