A rare “Cosmo” rocking chair, Model No. SA, designed and manufactured by Gruppe B. R. A. N. D. (Rudolf Weber & Boris Broschardt),
Vienna, 1988, powder coated tubular steel, aluminium caps, black split leather height 86 cm, width 53 cm, depth 100 cm. (DRAX)
The “Cosmo” rocking chair series was only produced three or four times, each time with different. It was first presented at Kunstraum MAVO in Vienna in 1988.
“The ‘Cosmo’ system was designed without using a drawing board. It did not grow from the two-dimensionality of a drawing, but from an extant, harmonious whole – a circle.” (B. R. A. N. D.)
