Lot No. 112 +

A “Scudiero” hall stand, designed by Toni Cordero,

1991, for the Morphos Collection by Acerbis International, Italy, blue lacquered metal tube, solid elm, galvanised metal band, mahogany console and tray, bevelled mirror, halogen light, height 235 cm, width 70 cm, depth 64 cm. (DRAX)

Comes with a certificate.

Provenance: Acerbis Archives, Italy

SCUDIERO
Faithful servant. Faithful with multiple functions: it holds day clothes (it has a hanger), night clothes (it is a silent valet), objects and telephone (it has a shelf), a small vide poche or flower pot (it has a small wood plate that can be removed and replaced with a vase), it checks the beauty of the face (it has a mirror) and illuminates the room (it has a lamp).
A faithful servant. In every respect.
The stylistic emancipation that came with the industrial products in the paleo-industrial era must today be assembled, in a way similar to Robinson Crusoe, from a shipwreck of forms and the chance nature of the findings.
