Vienna, 1920s, carved wood, painted in turquoise blue-green, paintwork partly renewed, signed on reverse, height 126 cm,(B).

This exceptional sculpture stood in Gurschner's studio in Lindengasse 9 in Vienna's seventh district. In 1951, Gurschner gifted the figure to his grandson Christian Gurschner, who sold it to the current owner in 1989.
