...the unadorned, the close-to-the-bone painting,
that’s what I’m aiming for.
for the reflex of a reptile
for the brain stem
for a gratuitous act
my painting is action and emotion before the REM period of sleep,
in the ‘temporal lobes of the duck-billed platypu’:
a dynamic space.
the picture a fluid shadow, an eeg of creativity, when it succeeds,
expanding into an ocean of complete otherness, where the old
olm counts to five.
for the clipping, sending away and winning.
for the rules
for my way of looking at things
where the ego is the world and the other way round, where it
paints,
the limbic system,
no metaphysics
no doctrine
no occult
no shamanism
no philosophy
no formula…
