A comparable woodcut of Master WS with an Adoration of the Shepherds is preserved in the Albertina, Vienna. G. K. Nagler attributes the sheet to Wolfgang Stürmer (active in Leipzig 1571-1592), contrary to H. Röttinger who ascibes the woodcut to Jacob Lucius (Kronstadt 1530-Helmstedt 1597).
