We are grateful to Prof Wolfgang Prohaska for his suggestion of the attribution. The present painting has a stylistic connection with Beinaschi’s God the Father in a Neapolitan private collection (see N. Spinosa, Pittura del Seicento a Napoli. Da Mattia Preti a Luca Giordano. Natura in posa, Naples 2011, no. 17, p. 92) and can be dated to the first half of the 1680s.
