In 1975 the artist gave birth to his most famous cycle, that of the bandages which, even in its radical nature, does not avoid the issue of painting. On the contrary, it provides another variation via a constructive process in which the bandages are themselves supporting the canvas in a dialectic which impacts the nature of the surfaces. […] In a truly ritual bath, the bandages are painted twice: before being mounted on the canvas, and right after the definitive dressing, almost in a desire to conceal the material, which camouflages itself in a dialectical procedure devoid of any emphasis.
