Information from the Franz West Archive upon an e-mail inquiry from, February 1 2017 as to whether the archive no. DN6673 is correct and registered: Yes, the sculpture is known and was at that time minimally revised by Herbert Brandl.

In my eyes, art is an impetus that cannot be expressed. You want to express something that you haven’t learnt yet. If you can express it, you don’t have the impetus. Art is suspended between the two. To be honest, art is an impossible concept: if you don’t learn it, you can’t express it; if you learn it, you lose the content.
