Will Ryman had solo exhibitions at the PS 1 Contemporary Art Center, New York, the Saatchi Gallery, London, the Paul Kasmin Gallery, New York, and the Galerie Bernd Klüser, Munich.

As a writer who turned his hand to art, Will Ryman’s work is heavily influenced by philosophical texts and the works of absurdist drama. He worked as a playwright and a dramatist before becoming a sculptor. His work thus takes as much inspiration from the realm of the theatre as from that of fine art. The work of Will Ryman is centred on contradictions, absurdism and the human condition which he expresses in large sculptures and installations.
